Nigerian rap star Olamide has opened up about his relationship with fellow Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
In a recent interview with Adesope Live, the YBNL boss revealed that while he shares a good relationship with the trio, he considers them “too troublesome.”
“Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are all my friends. They’re cool dudes; it’s just that sometimes many can’t align on so many things, and that’s fine,” Olamide said.
The “Story For The Gods” hitmaker also discussed how Wizkid jumped on two songs from his recent album.
He shared that after playing the tracks to Wizkid, he immediately found interest in the "Billionaires club" song and decided to jump on it after they had already recorded "Kai."
He also weighed in on the ongoing debate about Afrobeats’ “Big 3,” a ranking that typically includes Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.
According to him, he doesn’t mind being left out of the conversation. Instead, his energy remains focused on creating timeless music.
