Nigerians on social media have rallied behind popular X influencer Aunty Esther after she publicly appealed for help while battling breast cancer.

Recall that a heartbreaking video of Aunty Esther surfaced online, showing her in severe pain as she begged for assistance, saying she didn’t want to die.

The clip, which also showed the affected part of her chest, left many Nigerians distressed and eager to know how they could support her treatment.

Shortly after the video went viral, donations began pouring in through fellow influencer Wizarab, who took charge of coordinating the fundraising effort.

As of the time of filing this report, a staggering ₦16 million has been raised. Wizarab shared screenshots as evidence of the donations, writing on X:

“We are now at ₦16m. Cancer treatment costs a lot. Please keep raising it.”

The overwhelming support reflects the power of online community solidarity, especially as many recalled other entertainers like Tom Njeamanze who have also battled cancer in recent years.
