Singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi and his wife, Temi Otedola, have revealed why they consulted nine doctors in different countries while preparing for the arrival of their first child.

The couple disclosed this on a recent podcast episode, explaining that the multiple consultations stemmed from uncertainty over where they would eventually give birth.

Mr Eazi explained they wanted options because they hadn’t decided on a country.

He added that he considered Japan and even researched Japanese names for the baby.

“Why exactly do we see nine doctors? Nine doctors, to give you options, not just that, because we didn’t know where we were going to be. Which country? We didn’t know which country we would decide on. I wanted Japan,” he said.

Temi jokingly shut down the idea during the podcast, saying, “By the way, he’s also been looking at Japanese names, and I’m like, no, absolutely not.”

The pair announced in May that they were expecting their first child after discovering the pregnancy during their honeymoon in Asia.

They married in a private ceremony in Iceland in August 2025.
