Ikenna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Ike Cubana and younger brother of businessman Obi Cubana (Obi Iyiegbu), has announced his intention to contest in the 2027 general elections.
Ikenna revealed that he will be running for a seat in the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), aiming to represent the Idemili North and South Federal Constituency.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, February 24, via his official Instagram page, where he shared a campaign flyer bearing his photo and details of his political ambition.
In the caption, he wrote: “Service to the great people of Idemili North & South federal constituency.”
His declaration has reignited public interest in the Iyiegbu family, particularly given Obi Cubana’s visible support for Bola Tinubu through the City Boy Movement.
In January, the pro-Tinubu group appointed Obi Cubana as its South-East coordinator — a move that sparked mixed reactions online.
With Ikenna choosing to run under APGA rather than the APC, many social media users have begun questioning the political dynamics within the family as 2027 approaches.
