Why men should carry out DNA tests without their wives’ knowledge - Man counsels

A Nigerian writer has advised men on the proper course to take under the circumstances surrounding late musician Mohbad's child Liam Light's paternity following the singer's passing.

Following Mohbad's passing, a number of people, including investigative journalist Kemi Okunloyo and VeryDarkman, requested a DNA test be run on Mohbad's five-year-old boy to determine who his biological father is and this has sparked a number of discussions on social media.

Reacting to this, a Nigerian author has counselled his fellow men on what to do. The author who goes by the handle @Letter_to_jack advised fathers to always perform a DNA test on their children without their wives' knowledge when the situation calls for it on his Twitter page.

He asserts that regardless of whether she is guilty or innocent, every woman will by nature become upset when her husband doubts the father of their children; therefore, it is wise for men to carry out the DNA test covertly without confronting them.

He also said that if the findings show that he is the father of the children, he can later take action to make up for their mistrust of the lady and the children by performing excessive acts of service.

However, if the results are negative, he said, they can later face the women with "hard evidence."

He wrote: "When you question your partner’s fidelity (females especially), you should expect an angry reaction, regardless of whether they are guilty or innocent.

"The innocent woman will have a genuine feeling of disappointment and heartbreak that you could even think that low of them. It’s not just infidelity you’re accusing them of, you’re also accusing them of Paternity Fraud—something only absolutely heartless woman can do.

"The guilty women would also fake reactions as well (as with every other human when a lie is about to catch up on them), with hope that the faking and the tantrums will deflect the quest for the truth. The moment a man throws the question, the guilty person will know that nemesis is about to catch up on them.

"In my view, If any man is having doubts about the paternity of their kids. I don’t think it’s necessary to confront their wives/the mothers. They can just go ahead and carry out the DNA test without informing their wives first. If result is positive, you can begin to overcompensate for doubting them with excessive acts of service and they’d never know why. If the result is negative, you’d confront them with hard evidence."
