Why actresses are not backing Funke Akindele – Faani

Austin Faani, the husband of popular actress, Chacha Eke-Faani, has revealed reasons why actresses in Nollywood are not supporting actress cum politician, Funke Akindele in her pursuit to become the Lagos state deputy governor.

The movie producer is currently running on the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to Faani, most of her colleagues are envious of her ambition and they do not believe that she is capable.

He also cited an example with American actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger who became the Governor of California.

Faani called on Lagosians, especially her colleagues to support the ‘Omo Ghetto’ actress to become the deputy governor.

He wrote: “Funke Akindele’s colleagues are not campaigning for her, especially the female celebrities.

“Could it be envy or what? We can post her film but not her political ambition. Arnold Schwarzenegger was once the governor of California.

“Y’all think she is not capable? I trust she will do better than all the previous Deputy Governors of Lagos put together. Vote my Colleague. Vote PDP Vote Jandor and Funke.”
