Why Eedris Abdulkareem fought in plane carrying 50 Cent

Actor Yul Edochie and music producer Samklef have paid respect to Eedris Abdulkareem over the misunderstanding between him and US rapper 50 Cent.

Eedris Abdulkareem is reported to have engaged in a brawl on a plane which was also transporting 50 Cent and his crew. The musicians were on their way to Port Harcourt to perform at a concert.

The brawl which painted Eedris Abdulkareem in a bad light has now been described as a fight to ensure Nigerian artistes get accorded the same respect their foreign counterparts get when in the country.

While celebrating artistes who paved the way for today's generation, Samklef wrote: "Let’s not forget this great man (legend ) paid the price so that Nigeria artiste can be respected and paid well locally. Idris Abdul Kareem".

Yul Edochie also wrote: "I remember his issue then with 50 Cent. Many people misunderstood him and insulted him for it. But all he wanted was for Nigerian entertainers to be respected just the way the foreign ones were respected. A true countryman. A hero he is. A Legend".
