Where, when did people faint upon seeing you? You lack Michael Jackson’s star power - Daniel Regha quizzes Davido

Social media critic, Daniel Regha, has called Davido a liar following some of his comments during an interview.

Davido had said that while performing at some stadiums, people fainted upon seeing him. He also mentioned that he's been dropping smash hits for 8 years before signing a record deal with Sony Music in 2016.

The hitmaker made this known in an interview on The Bridge podcast, which featured Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni, French model Cindy Bruna, and the former CEO of Swiss luxury watch Audemars Piguet, François-Henry Bennahmias.

Reacting to Davido’s claims, Regha said some of the singer’s statements were lies and that he lacks the star power that late American singer, Michael Jackson possessed.

Regha however, hailed the singer for recognizing 2face, Psquare and others who paved the way for him to rise.

He wrote;

"Davido in a recent interview acknowledged artistes like 2Face, P-Square, & D'banj paving a way for him; That's applaudable especially since a lot of artistes nowadays claim to be self-made.

But some of his statements seem like a lie tho, like that of people fainting cos of him in stadiums. When & where has that ever happened? He doesn't have that Michael Jackson star power even till date.

Another obvious lie is saying that he's been dropping smash hits for 8yrs before signing a record deal with Sony Music (in 2016), this is coming from someone who's first viral song was arguably Dami Duro which was released in 2012. So how is it 8yrs?"
