'We’re better off as friends' - Ike opens up on relationship with ex, Mercy Eke

Big Brother Naija reality show star, Ike Onyema has revealed that he is better off as friends with his ex-lover, Mercy Eke.

He said this during the latest episode of Cool FM Nigeria’s Big Friday Show hosted by Tacha.

Recall that Ike and Mercy were in a romantic relationship during the Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ season in 2019, but they broke up shortly after the show.

Ike added that it was not wise to reconcile with Mercy because going back to an ex does not often end well.

He said, “I didn’t rekindle my relationship with Mercy in the just concluded Big Brother Naija All Stars season because we are better off as friends.

“At least for me, I always feel like when you go back to an ex, you might not always get what you want.”
