'We are ready' - Nigerian chef, Beauty says as she turns on her stove for cook-a-thon

Nigerian chef who is based in Canada, Beauty Obasuyi has expressed her readiness to embark on the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Her goal is to surpass existing records and return the record to Nigeria.

Even though there have been requests to extend the cooking hours as some chefs in other countries have cooked for more than 220 hours, and are yet to be acknowledged by the Guinness World Record, the chef is determined about cooking for just eight days.

Beauty said in a previous post that she didn't cook for anyone other than herself during the eight days she set aside for herself because she wasn't in a competition.

At midnight on Wednesday, January 10, she turned on her cooker, and as of the time this article is written, she had been cooking for 4 hours and 48 minutes.

As she sets out to smash records, many of her followers have wished her luck.
