We are not aware of rape case against Brymo - Lagos Police

The Lagos State Police Command has stated that it is not aware of any rape allegation against singer Brymo.

This was stated when MyNigeria.com reached out to the Lagos State PPRO, Bala Elkana.

Brymo had revealed on social media a few days ago that he’s being investigated on a full-scale by the Lagos State Government over a rape allegation levelled against him.

He made the revelation amid cries from Nigerians against rapists after the rape and murder of Uwaila Omozuwa and Barakat Bello became public knowledge.

When MyNigeria.com reached out to Bala Elkana concerning Brymo’s claim, he said, “I’m just hearing this from you, I’m not aware”.

The PPRO stated that the singer's claim would be easy to verify had it been he mentioned the name of the police station investigating the allegation.

“If he had mentioned a police station then I would have called the station to verify.

“Let me make some enquiries. I’m not saying that he’s lying, but personally I’m not aware”, he said.
