Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday, October 28, joined models on the runway during the annual Lagos Fashion Week.

The Style House Files-sponsored Heineken Lagos Fashion Week took place last week from Thursday, October 26, 2023, to Saturday, October 28.

Several celebrities and style icons were captured flaunting their flare as they graced the stylish event.

The governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu who was present, closed the event as he joined a slew of models.

He even wore a blazer designed by renowned Nigerian designer Emmy Kasbit as he walked the runway for her.

The governor walking the runway has sparked numerous reactions as people share conflicting responses.

Here are some comments

Gatiri: "A beautiful one indeed. Is it possible to revive the textile industry? How about importing silk worms and the expertise for us to begin manufacturing our own silk? We need more exports and have 200m plus people who need clothes."

Suga Belly: "Wait, so you Lagos people invited Sanwo Olu to Lagos Fashion Week in the same October that the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre, which Sanwo Olu admitted inviting the Army to? Anyway, what did I expect? Lagos people are shallower than an Nkwobi bowl."

JosephOnuorah: "Governor - remember Lekki regional road. Work has stopped. Na regional runway doings be this one o while the main work Dey wait for you!!!"

Omujuwa: “As though a state Governor shouldn’t be seen advancing the creative sector in a state that more or less keeps the Nigerian economy on its toes, take away the creative sector, and Nigeria’s soft power goes to zilch!”

Pamela Adie: "This is one of our main problems. We keep giving our oppressors platforms. We keep endorsing them. We keep smiling with them. We should have nothing to do with them. Nothing at all. But this is Nigeria. Anywhere bele face."
