Grammy award winner, Burna Boy, made history on Sunday, July 20, becoming the first African to perform at the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show.
The Nigerian singer was the only African on the bill, setting a new record as the first from the continent to grace the World Cup Final Halftime Show.
Burna Boy’s electrifying performance of the official 2026 World Cup song, ‘Dai Dai,’ with Colombian superstar, Shakira, had the New York Stadium bouncing and cheering.
Other global music stars, including Justin Bieber, BTS, Modanna, and Coldplay also performed during the Halftime Show.
Meanwhile, Spain defeated Messi’s Argentina 1-0 to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Popular streamer, iShowSpeed closed the World Cup with a performance of his World Cup theme song, ‘Champions.’
