Controversial social media influencer and critic Daniel Regha has openly supported the re-arrest of rapper and musician Darlington Okoye, better known by his stage name Speed Darlington.
The influencer expressed his viewpoint in a tweet on Wednesday, November 27, claiming that the arrest was warranted.
Shortly after returning to Nigeria, Speed Darlington was reportedly detained again in Imo State. This event comes after Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning performer, allegedly orchestrated the singer's earlier arrest.
According to reports, Speed Darlington's controversial remarks against Burna Boy's Grammy victory and his relationship with American rapper Diddy were the reason for the initial detention.
Daniel Regha emphasized in his statements that Speed Darlington's continuous public denigration of Burna Boy made his re-arrest inevitable.
He noted that Speed Darlington persisted in making disparaging statements despite having previously faced legal consequences.
Her wrote, “Burna & his team re-arresting Speed Darlington is justified (if true), since Speed Darlington continued to slander his name unprovoked, even after being arrested the first time; And to make matters worse, a lot of people cheered him instead of condemning the act. There’s a limit to one’s tolerance."
