VerDarkMan to be released from police custody soon - Lawyer

Counsel for Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan has revealed that the social media activist will be released from police custody soon.

In a video shared on social media, the lawyer claimed they met the requirements of two high-ranking government officials but were still unable to obtain his release owing to the absence of the governing authority.

He also noted that the bail conditions include the possession of property and a business in Abuja, the involvement of a government official, the surrender of his foreign passport for a year, and a cash bond of N200 million.

Shading light on the arrest of VeryDarkMan, the lawyer noted that legal action would be taken if bail was not granted, although he expressed trust in the police’s professionalism.

The lawyer further revealed that actresses Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo and singer Samklef were responsible for VeryDarkMan’s arrest.

He assured fans of the activist that he would be released soon as he thanked them for their support.
