Varsities won’t strike if politicians’ kids school here – Kate Henshaw

Veteran actress Kate Henshaw has asked Nigerians to vote wisely at the 2023 general election.

Speaking on the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike that has been ongoing for over seven months, she slammed the leaders for their behaviour towards resolving the situation.

Kate quizzed the leaders attitude towards the institutions. She asked if their children were attending any of the Nigerian schools, they would be shut.

She wrote: “If their children were schooling here, do you think the Universities will be shut for even one day??

“Instead they rub it in your faces that they don’t care while they celebrate with glee the graduation of their children in the abroad. VOTE WISELY!!”

Her comment comes days after the First Lady, Aisha Buhari took to social media to celebrate her daughter-in-law graduating with First Class Honors from a UK university.

This brought about several concerns from affected Nigerian students who saw her post as insensitive.
