Veteran Nigerian actress, Hilda Dokubo, has questioned the appointment of Senator Elisha Abbo as a patron of the Actors Guild Of Nigeria.

Senator Abbo, the senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District, was dragged on social media for beating up a female attendant at a sex toy shop, leading to a nationwide call for justice.

He, however, tendered apology afterwards but Dokubo did not accept the apology.

In the video, she deemed his apology as unacceptable, stating that he mimed the apology and "no one ever apologises reading from a sheet of paper."

Mrs Dokubo is quizzed about his inclusion in the list adding that "we cannot have an abuser of women as

"How did you not know that outing something that ugly in the midst of that beauty will mess up the whole space," referring to the inclusion of Senator Abbo as a patron of the Actors Guild Of Nigeria.

She added that "having Abo on that list makes a mess of the honourable people on that list."

Mrs Dokubo also said that "however he got on that line, get him out of that list. He does not qualify to be a patron of an organisation whose responsibility is to educate, entertain and motivate into positive action."

As such, she has called for the removal of the senator as patron of the guild because she "cannot have an abuser serving as patron in an organisation that I belong."
