A resurfaced video of Uzoamaka Ohiri, the former wife of media personality Nedu Wazobia, has reignited one of the most controversial paternity scandals in Nigerian entertainment.

The clip, originally from 2021 but now trending again on X in 2026, shows Uzoamaka calmly discussing the DNA controversy that led to the collapse of her marriage.

One statement in particular that captured public attention was when she shared that her ex-husband, Nedu Wazobia, was insecure and doubted the paternity of their last child but unfortunately, it was the first child.

'Nedu became very insecure. He was doubting the paternity of my last child. Unfortunately for him, it was the first child."

She further stated, “I never told Nedu the child was his own. He just assumed because we were married.

'That is so low for him to do DNA to verify if the child is for him.

“I Didn’t Know Either”

Uzoamaka also claimed she was unaware of the child’s true paternity until the test was conducted.

"I never knew my son's paternity until DNA was conducted," she said, adding, “Trust me, if I knew that my first child was not for him, I wouldn't have married him. I wouldn't intentionally give somebody else's child to another man.”

The controversy first broke in 2021 when Nedu conducted a DNA test over paternity concerns. The results revealed that it was not the last child, as suspected, but the first child that was not biologically his.

The revelation reportedly took an emotional toll on the comedian and ultimately led to the end of the marriage.
