Fashion designer Veekee James has come under fire from Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu for disparaging unmarried women in her piece of advice.
The celebrity fashion designer came under fire from the actor for giving advice to unmarried women, noting that nobody needed the advice she gave.
According to Uche Maduagwu, what suits Veekee James might not suit someone else. For this reason, the fashion designer has no right to use her marriage as a standard by which to provide counsel to women who aren't married.
The actor claims that the majority of Nigerian women prefer their men to provide for their financial demands rather than the other way around.
He said, “Stop making it look like marriage is a designer dress that it fits all. The kind of man wey you want fit be man wey be say Nigerians go dey laugh at am. They go dey laugh am for social media. That is the kind of man you like but some ladies don’t like their men like that” he said.
Uche Maduagwu made this statement after Veekee James posted a picture of herself and her husband with the caption, “This could be you and somebody’s son, but you like your men tall and handsome with perfect set of teeth, 100% financial responsibility, impeccable dress sense, very spiritual, yet with a touch of bad boyness.”
