Afrobeats singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that music stars Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy are among artistes who inspire her.
In an interview with Rolling Stone Africa, Savage said she draws musical inspiration from many people, including her peers.
She named Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy alongside American singer Brandy and jazz music, adding that she ultimately looks up to God.
“I am inspired by so many people. Musically, I am inspired by Brandy…I also listento Jazz… I am inspired by my peers,” she said.
“You know, Wiz, Burna, David. You know, everybody. I am inspired by so many people but I look up to God.”
The comments come a year after Savage publicly criticised the “Big 3” label often used to describe Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy as Nigeria’s top global music exports.
In 2025, she argued the term overlooks leading female artistes in Afrobeats.
She said certain types of artistes earn more and have greater resources for promotion, which influences how often their music is heard.
She also said it was unfair to discuss a top three without mentioning Tems.
