Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has opened up about her longstanding feud with fellow singer Seyi Shay, offering new insights into the viral salon confrontation from years past.

During her appearance on the 'Off Air with Gbemi O and Toolz' podcast released this Saturday, the singer of 'Somebody’s Son” clarified that the conflict originated from a particular diss track and rumors suggesting she tried to block opportunities for other female artists, notably Seyi Shay and Victoria Kimani.

Tiwa strongly dismissed these claims, reaffirming her dedication to uplifting women within the music industry.

“If you do something to me, I’ll tell you directly—not online. I’m not going to pretend we’re cool when you did a whole d+ss track about me,” she said.

The singer admitted that the accusations deeply affected her, as she had no idea where they originated from.

“That was p+inful, and I didn’t know where it was coming from. Till today, maybe I need to have a conversation with Shay,” Tiwa added.

Her remarks represent one of the initial occasions the award-winning artiste has openly addressed the misunderstandings and tension that characterised one of the most talked-about celebrity feuds in Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
