Those posting about Ifeanyi didn't wish him happy birthday - Halima Abubakar

Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, has tackled her colleagues for mourning Ifeanyi, son of Nigerian music star, Davido.

The son of music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, drowned in a swimming pool at his father’s Banana Island mansion, on Monday.

It was learnt that the child drowned at a time when his parents traveled for a family gathering, leaving him in the care of some minders at the house.

Doctors reportedly pronounced him dead on arrival at the hospital he was rushed to after his body was found in the bottom of the pool.

While his death still remained a speculation as at that night, by the early hours of Tuesday morning when it was confirmed, many took to their social media pages to condole with Davido and Chioma.

Reacting to the online show of empathy among her colleagues, Abubakar in a post on her Instagram story argued that they didn’t celebrate the deceased child on his third birthday.

“Half of you who posted that little baby didn’t wish him hbd….. But you are the first to post his demise. Do you people think at all? It shows how many of you only celebrate bad news, such a sad reality…

“Did you wish him a hbd? No!! You rush write RIP… The pain is fresh… Thank goodness for the spiritual discernment. Run from this type of people,” she wrote.
