Veteran musician Eedris Abdulkareem has lamented the economic hardship facing Nigerians under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a recent viral song by Eedris, the artiste stated that the current administration’s hardship surpasses that of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s era when he released his controversial satirical song, ‘Nigeria Jagajaga’.

Eedris criticized President Tinubu’s government for not addressing the situation and instead blaming the previous administration led by former President Muhammed Buhari.

In his latest song “Emilokan,” Eedris highlighted the widespread hardship and insecurity in the country, emphasizing the urgent need for change.

In his lyrics, he expressed, “Tinubu government blames Buhari, Buhari government blamed Jonathan. Hunger dey, people dey die. This one don pass JagaJaga. Emilokan oti ebi lokan.”

Many have shown support for Eedris’s bold stance and commended him for speaking out against the truth.

Below are some reactions;

@dicmacg1: Idris is saying the facts in this song, let be realistic

@MAgbogidi: Idris AbdulKareem's "Nigeria Jaga Jaga" remix could feature a modern Afrobeat rhythm, a chorus with "Emilokan" for a call to action, updated verses addressing current issues, and a bridge emphasizing unity. Enhanced visuals showcasing Nigeria's diversity would complete the refresh.
