Veteran Yoruba actor and producer Saheed Balogun popularly called Saidi Balogun, has expressed concerns over the deteriorating state of Nigeria's economy.

The actor, who strongly supported President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, has now challenged the country's price control and regulatory agencies.

He is seeking redress on possible policies to reduce the incessant rise of inflation.

On his Instagram page, he wrote: "Do we have a functional price control or regulatory agency in Nigeria? How do we cushion the effects of inflation? Because things are getting out of hand."

The actor's call to action amidst the ongoing nationwide protests can be seen as a way of lending his voice and sharing in the grief of many Nigerians who have left their comfort zones to demand change.
