Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodu Blvck, has said he was shut down at the Headies Awards for talking about Jesus.
At the 2025 edition of the Headies Award, which was held recently, Odumodu Blvck won the award for Next Rated act.
While delivering his acceptance speech, the rapper's microphone was turned off when he started talking about Jesus.
In a post on X, Odumodu Blvck stated that he has no bad blood for the organisers of the award over the incident.
He said, "I was talking about Jesus and they tried to shut me down.
"I am hundred per cent sure that if I was talking about his Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, I would not have been cut off.
"I genuinely have no bad blood towards the Headies. Rather I'm grateful they put my Mic back on to spread the gospel.
"Jesus is King. He is before, now and forever."
