'They robbed Burna Boy' - Anger as singer goes trophyless at Grammy Awards

Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu who is better known as Burna Boy lost the two categories he was nominated for at the 65th edition of the Grammy Awards which was held on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

The self-acclaimed African Giant was nominated alongside top acts such as Angelique Kidjo in the 'Best Global Album' category and Eddy Kenzo in the 'Best Global Performance' category.

The 'Best Global Album' category, where Burna Boy had his 5th Grammy nomination with his studio album 'Love Damini' was won by Masa Takumi, with his album, 'Sakura.'

Burna Boy's 'Last Last' also saw another defeat in the 'Best Global Performance' category to a collaboration by Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode with 'Bayethe.'
