Mixed reactions have followed a video of students from an unidentified school singing the national anthem word-for-word barely 24 hours after it was reinstated.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu replaced "Arise O Compatriots" as the national anthem on Wednesday, May 29, with "Nigeria We Hail Thee," which was jettisoned in 1976.
Shortly after the anthem was reinstated, a video of the students singing went viral, prompting questions about how quickly they had learned the lyrics.
Many believed that only the elderly would be able to sing it, but the video proved otherwise.
Some people on social media expressed concern, suggesting that the children may have been forced to sing it.
However, others praised the children for learning the anthem in such a short period.
