'They ate like dogs' - Simi tackles Ashmusy, others over their portrayal of African moms

Nigerian singer Simi has criticized skitmakers, Nons Miraj, Ashmusy, and others for their inaccurate portrayals of African mothers.

The skitmakers created a skit of them visiting a restaurant while dressed as traditional African mothers.

The video shows them walking into the restaurant wearing various traditional outfits, eating their food inhumanely, posing for pictures like normal African mothers, then packing all the utensils.

Simi criticized them for misrepresenting African mothers in the video, calling it disgusting.

The mother of one complained about the video on her X account, calling it a disaster and pointing out how they were behaving like dogs while eating, which infuriated her.

As she reprimanded them for doing poorly in their skits, she remarked that she doesn't know any mother who behave in such a manner.

She wrote: “That video about African moms where they looked a mess and we’re eating like dogs made me mad af. I don’t know anybody’s mom that acts like that. Y’all get your jokes together”.
