The three people who must spend on your girlfriend - Reno Omokri's advise to men in relationships

Reno Omokri, an author and activist has advised young men not to overplay their roles in their various relationships.

Omokri in a post on his Facebook page said the role of a boyfriend in the life of his love interest is "to be her friend, be her company during dates".

He stressed that spending must be done by only three people her father, her husband, and her older brother.

Don't overplay your role. You are her boyfriend, not her husband or father. Please don't come and tell us that you paid for her education, and she ended up marrying another person. Or you sent her abroad, and she no longer picks up your call. It is your fault. You overplayed your hand.

As a boyfriend, your role is to be her friend, be her company during dates, and see if you are compatible for marriage. The job of footing her bills belongs to only three people. Either her father, her husband, her older brother (if the father is no more and she is a minor) or herself.

Paying for her education, sending her abroad, or any such stunt proved to her that you are weak, and now that she no longer needs you, she has tossed you! Get a testosterone shot and act like a man, not a puppet.
