Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello sparked discussions on social media when she uploaded a video of herself receiving an IV dip.

Taking to the caption of the video, the actress encouraged her followers to rush and get their IV drips so they can glow and brighten up wherever they go.

An intravenous therapy (abbreviated as IV therapy) is a medical technique that administers fluids, medications and nutrients directly into a person's vein. People usually take it to glow up their skin and also stay young as it removes anti-aging.

The actress's fans did not find the video to be hospitable, asking the star about the purpose of taking the drip.

Others speculated on the range of illnesses that the globe may experience in the upcoming years following such injections in people's quest to look more beautiful and stay young.

silverpeace_cakes: "I am curious about 20-50 years from now. The kind of diseases and sicknesses will be strange."

ms_u602: "What’s the rationale behind the iv drop?"

kargobo6600: "Why taking an intravenous infusion when I'm not dehydrated? You're just getting fluid overload which could affect your tissues, cells, lungs and your heart. Promote clean water for people to drink rather than an IV"

bankechristelle: "doctors are trying to get things like these banned in the States because people are dying because it’s being given by unlicensed individuals, and you’re here promoting this? Haba aunty Shaffy"

tchyzo_: "Ermmmmmm okay... I'll pass on this one."
