Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, has commended Grammy Award-winning artiste Burna Boy for projecting Nigeria positively on the global stage, recalling how he spotted the musician's billboard during a trip to Grenada.

The industrialist made the remarks during a recent media briefing, where he highlighted the expanding global footprint of Nigerian music and the crucial role local creative talents play in elevating the country's international image.

According to the billionaire businessman, encountering the artiste's image prominently displayed on the Caribbean island underscored how Nigerian entertainers have transformed into globally recognized cultural figures.

"The first time I went to Grenada, the first billboard that I saw was Burna Boy," Aliko Dangote stated.

The industrialist noted that figures who bring honor to the nation through their creative endeavors deserve national celebrate and media coverage, contrasting their positive influence with negative stories about citizens abroad.

"These are our ambassadors, and this is what we need to be talking about," Dangote added.

His comments come amid a broader push by industry stakeholders and business leaders advocating for increased support and commercial investment in the African creative sector.
