'The enemies of Nigeria must be judged' — Nathaniel Bassey reacts after shocking Kwara Church attack

Nathaniel Bassey Nathaniel Bassey

Renowned gospel artiste Nathaniel Bassey has issued a fiery statement calling for divine judgment over terrorists, bandits, and all those responsible for Nigeria's escalating insecurity.

His message comes in the wake of the disturbing attack on a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State, where suspected bandits killed worshippers during a live-streamed service on Tuesday evening, November 18.

In a passionate post shared on X, Bassey said he believes Nigeria has entered a decisive season where the “enemies of the nation must be judged once and for all.”

He described terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and anyone who sponsors or supports them as enemies whose time for reckoning has come.

He wrote:

“If we miss this season, we may never get it again. Nigeria is one of the greatest nations on earth, and that is why there is such contention against its soul. These killers, kidnappers, bandits, and the architects of these evil systems MUST BE JUDGED!”

Deeply shaken by the incident, Bassey stressed that the destiny of Nigeria will remain a dream if citizens and leaders continue to ignore the growing menace of violent criminality.

He urged Nigerians, from government and security operatives to ordinary citizens, to unite like never before and confront the forces threatening the nation’s stability.

“We pray for courage for the government, the armed forces, the intelligence community, and every stakeholder to arise with one voice,” he said.

Drawing inspiration from the biblical story of Esther, the gospel singer warned that silence is not an option, adding that if leaders fail to act, “help will come from another source.”

Bassey ended his message with a prayer for peace, restoration, and the fulfillment of Nigeria’s prophetic destiny.

“Peace shall reign in Nigeria. Nigeria shall prosper and fulfill her prophetic destiny. God bless Nigeria!”
