Teniola Apata, a multi-talented singer better known by her stage name Teni The Entertainer, has advised young girls to never give up on their dreams and said following her dreams led to her winning a national award.

The President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration honored a number of notable Nigeria this week with the national honor of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

Teni dedicated the MON award to young women on her Instagram page, thanked God, the President, and the national awards committee, which was led by retired Supreme Court Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad.

She also advised them to continue dreaming, adding “Nothing is impossible. Back to the work that got me here."

The singer of “Uyo Meyo” disclosed that she received the honor as a result of her ongoing and significant contributions to local and/or national development.

“I was granted this award for “consistent and meaningful participation in community and/or national development; rendering unsolicited, selfless and philanthropic services to humanity; outstanding sacrifice in the defense of a cause popularly adjudged to be positive, relevant and beneficial to the nation and community. To the all the young girls this one is for you,” she wrote.

Teni also revealed that she will collaborate with @euinnigeria to highlight Nigeria’s burgeoning Green Economy and Africa’s expanding educational sector.
