Teni, Okonjo-Iweala and Aisha Mohammed receive national honours

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, October 11, awarded some women with national honours for thier contributions and impact to the country.

The event which was held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, saw Buhari confer these women as the world celebrate the International Girl Child Day.

These women inlcude, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and singer, Teniola Apata popularly known as Teni.

Okonjo-Iweala and Amina received the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) award while Teni was presented the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
