Tems becomes the first Nigerian artiste to receive BMI Award

Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems has become the first Nigerian to receive the prestigious BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc) Award after receiving “BMI Impact Award".

According to report, Tems was present at the show which took place in London with her mother.

Tems was gifted a bouquet of flowers by the CEO & VP Creative of BMI for her remarkable achievements in Nigerian Music.

“This year’s Impact Award goes to @Temsbaby for her ground-breaking artistry, creative vision and impact on the future of music! Congratulations! We are excited to see what’s next! #BMILondonAwards.”

The award-winning singer, Tems also posed for a photo with the BMI President’s Award recipient, Elle Goulding.

She alongside Wizkid's producer, PJ got a certificate for the huge success of 'Essence'.
