'Tekno wey dey Malabo' - Mr Eazi reacts to claims his colleague collapsed during a performance

Nigerian singer and businessman, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi, took to social media to debunk reports that Tekno collapsed while performing on stage.

Posting on his X page (formerly Twitter), Mr Eazi wrote, “LMAO Tekno wey dey Malabo.”

On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, there were reports that Nigerian singer and record producer Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu, popularly known as Tekno, collapsed during his performance in South Africa while on tour.

Tekno quickly dismissed the claims, stating that he was not in South Africa, and wished the artiste who reportedly collapsed well.

A video circulating on social media showed some strong men carrying a singer who appeared to have collapsed during a live show.

The video sparked criticism and concern from fans, prompting Tekno to clarify the situation.

Tekno assured his fans that he is hale and hearty. He wrote, “Hey guys, I’m hale and hearty and not currently in South Africa. I hope whoever that was in the video is doing well and ok. Thank you, guys. Love you.”

NaijaEyes on X also suggested that the person many beleive to be Tekno was actually rapper Prezzo, and the incident occurred in Kenya during the launch of the Bahatis.
