Personal Assistant on New Media to Buhari, Bashir Ahmed has urged parents to educate their children appropriately on sex education.

While condemning rape in its entirety, he told parents to teach their daughters and sons the gravity of rape.

"We are all doing well here, but apart from the condemnation on social media, at home, protect your daughter/sister at all costs, and educate your son/brother, make him understand its gravity, make him hate it naturally, and most importantly teach him to #SayNoToRape in all forms," the media aide tweeted.

In the same vein, a 16-year-old girl, Tina Ezekwe, was allegedly killed in Lagos when she was hit by bullets fired by policemen.

Also, a 12-year-old girl in Jigawa State was raped by 11 men.

The most recent of all cases is Barakat Bello, a student who was gang-raped and murdered in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital on June 1st.
