Kanye West has taken to his timeline to announce that he will be silent for 30 days.

The celebrity has made headlines for all the wrong reasons over the last few weeks, so he has made the decision to take a break and put himself first.

The US rapper lost his billionaire status after top companies severed ties with him over his anti-Semitic remarks from a while back and Ye even hilariously severed ties with Kanye West.

On Friday, November 4, Kanye West announced to his 31.8 million followers on Twitter that he would refrain from speaking to anyone for the entire month as part of a 30-day cleanse and verbal fast.

He added: ""But my Twitter still lit."

People responded to his decision in his comment section with a variety of opinions. Some people back him, while others believe he should simply disappear forever.
