Sympathies flow as Bobrisky is moved to Kirikiri prison

Nigerians have taken to social media to express their sadness as crossdresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky is moved to Kirikiri prison to serve his sentence.

Bobrisky who was jailed for six months for abusing the naira on April 12, 2024, after pleading guilty, began serving his sentence at the Ikoyi Correctional Center in Lagos.

According to a report, Bobrisky commonly referred to as Mummy of Lagos was moved discreetly to Kirikiri over the weekend by the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS).

“It is procedural that he is moved to Kirikiri since it is an expansive prison compared to what we have here,” a source said.

Reacting to the recent development, some Nigerians raised concerns over the sentencing of Bobrisky, describing it as unfair.

phoenix__oo1: This doesn't even make sense. You transfer someone with a non violent crime; a misdemeanor at best to a maximum security prison and you let another person charged with the same crime walk free (as he should). They can't even hide it anymore that they have an agenda against this guy.
