Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye of the PSquare duo, has swiftly responded to the Delta State police spokesman, Bright Edafe, who called him senseless.

Edafe had slammed Okoye for defending rapper, Ice Prince after his arrest by the police.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, September 4, 2022, Okoye wrote that if a police officer enters his car and tells him to drive off, he will assume the officer is a kidnapper.

Reacting to the post, Edafe placed Okoye in a 'category' of celebrities without sense.

Edafe tweeted: "Celebrities with no sense."

Responding to his tweet, Okoye ridiculed the Nigeria Police Force for their corrupt practices and their poor hygiene, comparing them to other police officers around the world who were enjoying better conditions of service.

Okoye wrote: "Lol DSP...I blame us for fighting for a better life for you people. #EndSars. If to say una join us protest, una for make extra money, well paid, buy better soap and body spray so that when una enter cars e nor go get counter smells.

"Una mate dey use cars with AC and computer to get information, una do stand under sun abi suffer nor dey tire una? Pray for a good and new government to come and deliver you people. Una own don too much."

Okoye's post is coming a few days after Ice Prince was arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, Ice Prince abducted and threatened to throw an officer into the river after he was stopped for driving without a license.

"At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today," he tweeted.

He was later arraigned and remanded at the Ikoyi Prison till his bail conditions are met.
