Rapper Eedris Abdulkareem has said that the true story of a fight he had on a plan which was also conveying 50 Cent will be told in a song.

The brawl which painted Eedris Abdulkareem in a bad light was brought into limelight again by actor Yul Edochie and singer Samklef.

Both celebs described it as a fight to ensure that Nigerian artistes get accorded the same respect their foreign counterparts get especially when in Nigeria.

Reacting to their description of the incident, Eedris Abdulkareem wrote:

"A lot of misinformation and misinterpretations have been thrown out there over the years about my activism and sacrifices for the Nigerian music industry.

"Some sections of the media decided to paint me with thick coats of an odious smelling tar in order to malign me to the benefit of their sponsors, or simply out of sheer hatred and wickedness. A veritable example of 'giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it!' I have since refrained from talking or writing much about the issues emanating from my struggles for a level playing field with better bargain and respect for Nigerian creative talents, but it suffices to say that I am one of the happiest guys alive now, as those sacrifices have yielded and are continuing to yield bountiful harvests for our entertainment industry today.

"Today's Nigerian artistes do not need to lick any promoter's boots, or record label executives backsides to get the desired respect and the attendant rolls of "Benjamins" that comes with it! No, not anymore!

"It was indeed a serious struggle where the then "Lords of the Manor" didn't want to budge nor shift ground. For them, it must be business as usual, a continuation of the sad situation where the creative artistes were meant to be the cash cows and guinea pigs in their heartless rush for material acquisition, while the artiste is left to roast! But, to God be the Glory, we have passed the worst.

"I appreciate the clean minds who have come out over the years to set the records straight, and I will always continue to pay homage to truth seekers anytime, any day.

"My attention was drawn to Samklef's unpretentious post and Yul Edochie's unfettered comments to same post, amongst so many other uplifting words of encouragement and appreciation therein from other readers. I say a heartfelt thanks to my creative comrades and brothers, Samklef and Yul for standing up for the truth, and I pray that history shall be extremely kind to you and your kinds!

"The full story shall be told at the appropriate time in a song".
