Singer Dammy Krane has revealed that the claim of stolen N180 million from the NGO funds belonging to activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, is a prank.

VeryDarkMan took to social media on December 27 to announce that hackers had breached his NGO website, diverting N180 million and leaving N20 million. He also stated that he was working with the police to track down the criminals in Imo State.

This raised concerns among Nigerians, who questioned his claims after seeing him cruising in a Mercedes Benz around Abuja just days before.

However, singer Dammy Krane dismissed the allegations of the missing N180 million, describing the situation as a prank. He stated that VeryDarkMan was renovating a school in Jos.

He wrote on his Instagram page, “It was a prank. VDM is renovating a school in Jos.”

Human Rights activist Omotayo Williams also revealed that the man VeryDarkMan claimed to be a police officer was actually a member of the Kogi State Taxi Taskforce.

Williams wrote on his X, “The man being presented by VDM as a police officer travelling with him is actually Henry, a well-known Taxi Taskforce member from Kogi State and a regular driver at Abuja Airport. Show his picture to anyone familiar with the airport, and they will confirm his identity.

This level of clout chasing undermines his credibility and will damage his reputation. Integrity should not be compromised for social media clout chasing.
I wish him the best.”
