Nigerian influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa has taken to social media to lament the continuous migration of doctors from Nigeria to other countries.
Expressing his concern, Enioluwa pointed out that with the rate at which several medical practitioners are relocating outside Nigeria, soon there won’t be anyone left to treat people in the country.
He defended their departure by highlighting the government’s failure to reward them for their hard work.
Taking to his X page, Enioluwa wrote, “Very soon, there won't be enough doctors to treat people in Nigeria. The best of that field will have left the country. Congratulations to you all on your #MatchDay2025. You deserve to exist in a country that rewards your hard work.”
His post some reactions from Nigerians on social media.
@0flgk: Very soon? There’s not enough doctors right now.
@DaPunditOlaleye: I remember the last time I followed my late dad for an appointment in LUTH,we got there early, dropped a card but a nurse announced that consultants are few because they have all travelled out and the ones available will attend to few. My dad died 5 months later.
@kabiradebayo1: Very soon???
Have you seen how little we are already in government hospitals???
Nobody Dey again
@TayeAbidakun: It's happening already. We do not have enough doctors.
@mavxin: One of the reasons why there shouldn’t be any Doctor is that the ones who will stay behind would definitely have to endure insults like this ,The average Nigeria Doctor would have left already if not bcus of the finance not available to write exams, but surely!
@Nehem11: We already have a shortage of doctors in Nigeria Eni.
