Some Nigerians paid to demonize their country - Seyi Law

Comedian Seyi Law has lamented that some Nigerians are getting paid to demonize their country.

According to him, this was noticed after Vice President Kashim Shettima gave a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where he expressed Nigeria's displeasure for Israel's actions in Gaza.

Since Shettima's speech, foreign agents, including TV show host Bill Maher and others, have been raising the alarm on alleged genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

Their claims have been dismissed by the Federal Government and other notable Nigerians, who see it as a means to cause division in Nigeria in retaliation to Shettima's speech.

While foreign agents instigated the claim, some Nigerians have amplified it.

According to Seyi Law, those Nigerians could have been paid to malign their country.

He shared on X, "Some Nigerians actually got paid to demonize the country because of the VP's speech at UNGA. While we have our insecurity issues, which have affected both religions, is this worth it? Yesterday, it was a friend threatening a friend because of a political propaganda gig's balance payment. Wetin una no fit do? Na wa."
