A social media influencer, Milan Samuel Chukwu, known online as Hybrid Soulja, has called out the Nigeria Police Force following the arrest of his younger brother.

In a video posted to his social media pages on Monday, July 27, Chukwu revealed that he received a distressing call from his brother's phone number. Instead of his sibling, a stranger's voice informed him that his younger brother had been taken into custody. According to the influencer, the authorities arrested his brother under allegations of defrauding members of the public.

‘’There was a strange voice at the other end. He told me that my brother was owing people money. I asked if I could speak with my younger brother, and he said no and that my younger brother is behind the counter. I said, even if my brother is behind the counter, let me speak with him.

He ended the call and switched off the phone. I knew that some certain people were looking for me''

He said he immediately called his eldest sister and his brother's wife to ask if they were aware of his arrest, but they said they weren’t.

‘’My younger brother that they detained got married two Saturdays ago'' he said

Hybrid Soulja claimed his brother was able to get the officers to give him his phone and that he quickly seized the opportunity to text their elder sister, informing her of his arrest and why he was arrested.

‘’He told my eldest sister that it is the people that are looking for me who detained him and that she should tell me. My sister forwarded the screenshot to me and immediately I left the house because the police station they said was close to my house.

Immediately, I called my lawyer, and I said I thought the petition they wrote against me in Lagos, you were attending to it and speaking with the police people. He said Yes. I said they just arrested my brother now in a way to fish me out. He said that is not correct.

He stated that he reached out to the female police officer handling the petition against him in Lagos and brought her to speed with the recent development.

"She said she did not send any of her boys to Abuja to arrest anybody and that it is illegal to arrest my brother in a way to fish me out and that she is in a meeting and will call me back when she is done.

I called my lawyer in Abuja, and he called the Divisional Police Officer, and he told him there is no case like that.''

Hybrid Soulja further claimed that his brother later called him and informed him that he had been transferred to another police station in Area 10. He said he then asked him what had happened.

‘’He said I was at work this morning and a group of men walked in and escorted him outside. They now showed him my picture and asked him if he knows me, and that is his elder brother. He said they now asked him to come and show them where I stay"

According to the influencer, police officers revealed they had been tracking his brother’s phone calls, establishing that the siblings were in close contact before tracing and arresting him at his office. Hybrid Soulja questioned the legality of the operation, wondering why the police traveled to Abuja to apprehend his brother over a petition filed in Lagos.

His brother has, however, been released.
