'Social media has been filled with false narratives' - Rico's management speaks, gives update on burial

The death of former Big Brother Naija housemate, Rico Swavey has not only attracted condolences from well-meaning Nigerians, but it has also seen some lies perpetrated about the late reality star.

To quell the "false narrative", his management released a statement saying some influencers have been paid to peddle lies about him.

They disclosed in the same statement that his burial arrangement would be made public while promising to share detailed information on the circumstances that led to his death.

The statement shared via Rico’s Twitter handle read in part: “It has come to our attention that social media has been filled with a lot of narratives about our dearest Rico Swavey.

Influencers has been paid to promote certain narrative. We will like to state that many of these narratives are false. Kindly note that in due time, we will be sharing detailed information on the circumstances surrounding Rico’s accident, treatment and passing."
