Social media platforms erupted today with unconfirmed reports claiming the death of popular Nigerian singer Afeez Adesina, well known as Destiny Boy.

However, no official statements from the artist's family, management, or credible news outlets have substantiated the claims.

The rumors gained traction earlier this morning following a post by entertainment commentator @Teeniiola on X, which read:

"Breaking: Reports claim that Destiny Boy is d£ad ." The account later followed up, stating there is "no verifiable source confirming the cause of Destiny Boy’s reported d£ath," while sharing a short, low-quality video allegedly depicting a young man's body being recorded.

The posts quickly gained attention, with many users expressing grief, skepticism, or accusations of a publicity stunt.

Numerous other X users amplified the speculation, with some claiming the 22-year-old artiste had reportedly passed away at a traditional Babalawo (Ifá priest) residence.
