Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has responded to speculation that her daughter has reconciled with estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

According to DAILY POST, rumours of a reunion between the couple went viral over the weekend after Regina was spotted at Ned Nwoko's residence.

The sighting triggered backlash from Nigerians and celebrities who had publicly supported Regina during her separation from the senator, with several vowing never to get involved in the couple's affairs again.

Amid the criticism, Rita Daniels stepped in to clarify what actually happened, revealing that Regina's visit had nothing to do with reconciliation and was instead about seeing her children.

Her comments came through a private chat with actor Uche Maduagwu, who shared the exchange on Instagram.

Per the chat, Rita Daniels said: "It is well my dear. She was invited to see her children, that was what happened. Thanks a lot for your support and concern."
