Music executive and Mavin Records founder Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has reflected on his relationship with Grammy-nominated singer Ayra Starr, stating that signing her transformed his life as well.

The music mogul was responding to a viral post on X featuring a throwback picture of Ayra Starr before her rise to fame, where a fan suggested Don Jazzy "saved" the singer from a different career path.

"She has most definitely changed my own life too. I bless the day I was shown her Instagram freestyle o. And she has been nothing but a dream Starrgirl," he wrote on X.

Ayra Starr, who signed with Mavin Records in late 2020 after Don Jazzy discovered her covers and original songs on Instagram, has rapidly become one of Afrobeats' biggest international exports.
