A section of social media have reacted to Bola Tinubu's congratulatory message to Tems after her victory at the Grammy Awards.

Tems, whose real name is Temilade Openiyi, claimed the prize on Sunday for the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category at the 65th edition of the ceremony.

Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress tweeted: "I join other Nigerians in congratulating Temilade Openiyi aka Tems @temsbaby on winning the Grammy award in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category for her contribution to the hit song "Wait for U" - featuring Future and Drake."

President Buhari also hailed the youngster for putting Nigeria on the map.

“President Buhari extols Tems, Temilade Openiyi, for showcasing her talent to the world, with dedication and hard work, which, again, has placed Nigeria in the spotlight for excellence,” presidential aide Femi Adesina, said in a statement Monday.
